Honor 9A: the champion of autonomy at low cost

With its 5,000 mAh battery and its light but balanced configuration, the Honor 9A should be one of the most enduring mobiles on the entry-level market when it is next released.

Among the entry-level mobiles at less than 150 euros, there are people. At this price, we obviously can not expect a thunderbolt , however, some models have strengths that make them stand out. This is the case of the Honor 9A which has just been announced. Its special feature: a 5,000 mAh battery.

A capacity that is generally found on high-end mobiles or gamers and who need it to pass the milestone of a day of use. So, according to Honor , autonomyof mobile would reach 35 hours in video playback. Suffice to say that the Honor 9A should be able to stay awake for more than two days when used normally. Even better, if it has too much energy in stock, it can be used as an external battery to charge another device.

Very well equipped for its price

For the rest, do not expect miracles. Under the 6.3-inch screen is the SoC Mediatek Helio P22, a mid-range processor released in 2018. It is supported by 3 GB of RAM . For storage, 64 GB of internal memory is available. They can be extended by 512 GB via a microSD card. As for photos, the Honor 9A has a module of three cameras placed in the upper left corner. There is a main sensor of 13 megapixels opening at f / 1.8, a wide-angle (120 °) of 5 megapixels and a depth assistant of 2 megapixels. At the front, for selfies , an 8-megapixel front camera is placed in the form of adrop under the upper border of the mobile.

In terms of software, the Honor 9A is powered by Android 10 with an Magic UI 3.1 overlay. Just like the Huawei P40 from the parent company, the mobile is deprived of Google services and we will have to fall back on the Huawei App Gallery which is gradually enriching its stock of apps. The mobile will be available in blue or black, to 149 euros from 1 ^st July at Fnac, Darty and on the manufacturer’s website.q
