One millisecond! This is the record response time for the screen of players’ screens presented by LG at E3, the Electronic Entertainment Expo. The Korean manufacturer offers two models, including one of 37.5 inches, curved.
Present at E3, the largest video games show currently taking place in Los Angeles, Korean manufacturer LG has taken the opportunity to unveil its brand new screens for gamers. The LG UltraGear 27GL850 and 38GL950G are announced with the first IPS panels with a response time of 1 millisecond from grey to grey. We specify from “grey to grey” because it is always faster than “black to black” since we have to wait until the pixel is completely off to record the latency.
In addition to the ultra-fast response time, a record by manufacturer, they offer a native refresh rate of 144 hertz and are capable of displaying 98% of the DCI-P3 colour space and 135% of the sRGB space. The 27GL850 is a 27-inch model with QHD resolution (2.560 x 1.440 pixels) and a luminance of 350 nits, compatible with Nvidia G-Sync and HDR10. It has two HDMI jacks and a DisplayPort jack.

It incorporates an Nvidia G-Sync processor and is Vesa DisplayHD 400 certified. The latter offers an HDMI and a DisplayPort socket. It also features a Sphere Lighting 2.0 backlight that projects ambient lights, like Philips Ambilight.
